Frequently asked questions

If your question is not answered here, email lisa@myhealthupdated.com or book a free program-information call.

What happens in a virtual physiotherapy session?

Similar to an in-person physiotherapy session, the physiotherapists will take a detailed history to understand your symptoms, medical history, and goals. They will then observe your movement and guide you through appropriate exercises or strategies. They will provide education, advice, and develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific goals.

Can I use virtual physiotherapy if I already have a physiotherapist or other healthcare provider I am seeing?

Yes, our physiotherapists are happy to collaborate with your existing physiotherapist or other healthcare providers, where appropriate, to help support your goals and provide coordinated care.

What do I need at home?

A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet service; enough floor space to move; and a chair. If your program would benefit from simple equipment, like a resistance band or weights, we will tell you exactly what to get.

What does it cost?

Program details and fees are covered on the free program-information call, where we can also point you to what your extended health plan may reimburse. Fees are receiptable as physiotherapy services with a licensed physiotherapist.
